Can GF 242 laminate be used on any kind of vehicle graphics?
Yes. GF 242 not only works extremely well as a perforated vinyl over-laminate, it’s high gloss finish and optically clear adhesive produces vibrant graphics for vehicle wraps as well. Compatible print films include GF 230, GF 246 & GF 333.
Can I use any other GF laminates on perforated graphics?
No. Not if you are using the laminate on the perforated graphics for the vehicle. The optical clarity is critical for allowing the driver to see clearly out of the vehicle. For store-front perforated graphics, you may want this clarity as well.
After application of GF 242 to my perforated graphics, I see streaking and patterns in the laminate, what could be causing this?
This is most likely caused by the softer cast laminate being pushed into the perforations. Using a softer edged squeegee and less pressure will mitigate that effect. This is normal and will clear up in a matter of days. Using low heat can help to relax the GF 242 laminate as well.
